12/01/2023 – The team at Himaya Haven had a meeting with the Head of Reducing and Reoffending to discuss the the issues around families and visitations, particularly those from the South Asian and BAME backgrounds. It is important to highlight the struggles that families of prisoners face so that the prisons can also provide the relevant supports, to make visitations easier. Just over 20% of prisoners in Featherstone are Muslim.
