Here you can donate to help fund our projects and support our cause.

Himaya Haven welcomes donations of any size to help build and continue our work with families of loved one(s) in custody or prison, to champion their needs and problems, assisting these groups to cope with the anxieties of arrest, sentencing, imprisonment and release.
Your donation will enable us to continue our important work, which really makes a big difference to the families of prisoners.

Our most recent project is the Ramadan Prisoner Welfare Packs 2024 which provides Muslim prisoners across West Midlands with items such as prayer mats, Quran’s (English and Arabic transalation), Islamic literature books, zikr books,
a large pack of dates each, tasbeeh’s, Eid cards and attar (perfume) where needed, for the month of Ramadan.

This is our fourth year of running this project (2024). We have been able to support HMP/YOI; Birmingham, Featherstone, Brinsford, Oakwood, Stafford, Swinfen Hall, Stoke Heath, Dovegate and Sudbury with items they requested. This is our first time supporting HMP Dovegate and Sudbury making our prison numbers to 9 this year. We have supported 2000 Muslim Prisoners this year across the West Midlands. All items were either picked up by the Chaplaincy team, or delivered to the prison in the week prior to Ramadan starting, so all items can be given out to prisoners in time for the start of the month.

The Ramadan Prisoner Welfare Pack project relies heavily on donations and/or sponsorships from organisations and community members etc. Due to the success of this project in its first year it is our intention to continue this as an ongoing annual Ramadan project.

Therefore, any donations will be greatly appreciated to keep up this meaningful project alongside other projects and work that we do. Considering that the Ramadan packs for this year have been delivered, any funds received will be used towards Ramadan 2025. This is what we do each year to ensure we have sufficient funds for the following year.

In 2023, we were able to support HMP/YOI; Birmingham, Featherstone, Brinsford, Oakwood, Stafford, Swinfen Hall and Stoke Heath . This year was also our first year in providing Eid food packs for Eid-Ul-Fitr for HMP Birmingham, HMP/YOI Swinfen Hall and Stoke Heath.

In 2021, our first year of running this project we supported 1298 prisoners across 8 West Midland’s prisons (See Our Work page for further information). This project took 3 months worth of planning and execution to ensure prisoners received everything they needed for a beneficial Ramadan. As a team we also worked tirelessly during the lockdown of 2021 to enable us to deliver this project on time.
