Behind Closed Doors Heritage Arts Project Prison Celebration

26/01/2023 – The team at Himaya Haven spent the day at H.M.P Swinfen Hall hosting a celebration event for young offenders who created art for our heritage arts project. The boys had a chance to show off their art pieces and explain the processes behind it and any challenges they overcame. As a reward they were awarded trophies which will be given to them once they leave the prison, certificates to hang up in their rooms, and a box of chocolates each. The prison also provided food for us to have for lunch. This was a lovely day and it was great to see them passionate and joyful about the project and their work.
