30/06/2024 – Our CEO and Social Media Manager attended the Muslim Women in Prison Project research and short film launch event at Leeds Beckett University. The name of the film is Inside Out and the research was carried out by Dr. Alexandria Bradley PhD, Dr. Sarah Goodwin PhD and Dr. Sofia Buncy MBE, DL. The day was filled with speakers from all backgrounds of the CJS and those impacted by Muslim women imprisonment. The film was very emotive and touches on the variety of struggles faced by Muslim women in prison from their experiences with prison guards, prisons, community, family and more.
