Rasheda Begum is our Family Engagement and Outreach Worker and has joined our team since December 2024.

As an Outreach Worker at Himaya Haven CIC, Rasheda provides vital support to families and individuals connected to someone in custody or prison. Her role allows her to be a lifeline for those navigating the challenges of having a loved one in the justice system, often referred to as “the silent victims on the outside”. Before joining Himaya Haven, Rasheda worked as a support worker for women and children affected by domestic violence. This experience not only deepened her understanding of the vulnerabilities faced by individuals in need but also strengthened her passion for making a difference in the lives of those often overlooked. Rasheda has said being part of Himaya Haven CIC enables her to continue this mission, empowering individuals and fostering positive change within our community.
