Himaya Haven are actively searching for a Family Engagement and Outreach Worker to join our team. This is a full-time role Mon-Thurs.

You will be providing frontline culturally sensitive, emotional and practical support to our service users. Himaya Haven’s services users are families and individuals with a loved one in custody and prison.
This post is based in Birmingham providing outreach to families with information and support to alleviate the challenges they face and remove some of their isolation. You will be providing culturally sensitive support for families from minority communities who are disproportionality impacted by imprisonment and sometimes to prisoners who may require our services.
You will need to be able to confidently communicate and liaise with key stake holders such as prisons, police and other statutory and non-statutory organisations.
You must be able to speak languages; Mirpuri, Urdu, Punjabi and English
