03/12/2020 – The National Grieve Week saw Ubele’s Lauch their BAME Bereavement Services. A much needed services for our communities. COVID-19 has meant that funerals cannot take place in the way that they usually do; it has been difficult for people to say goodbye to their family and friends in the way that they would like to. Grieving in isolation makes the loneliness and sense of loss more intense and this will inevitably have an impact on mental health and well-being, which indicates the need for a culturally competent bereavement service provision. Self referrals can be made to Bamestream Bereavement Support.
